Konqueror
with
three
split
views
and
a
new tab, shows its capability as a web/ftp browser
and file manager. |
 |
Konqueror is a File Manager
& Internet/Media Browser.
Here, with 2 views "linked"
but with the left "tree" view "locked", Konqueror can easily be a
text-image-video-flash-html browser - indexer.
The Profile can be saved. |

1)
Kodak EasyShare CX6330

took the pictures.
2) Libgphoto2 talks to non
mass-storage cameras.
3) Gphoto2 is the command
line interface to Libgphoto2.
4) Digikam (in the photo)
is the gui frontend to Gphoto2. Painful but simple :) |

Dolphin is the new File Manager
for Kde 4. Here, one "Places" panel shows labeled mounts and usual
paths,
while the two window panes make all file management actions quick.
Filesystems mount-unmount-eject easily, and thumbnail
rendering is ultra fast including movie stills. Konqueror for Kde 4 is
still fully functional.
